The food I had in Rome was pretty jummy. A simple cheese, tomato and basil pizza from a little cafe in the back streets was like some kind of culinary awakening. I've never tasted pizza superior to that. The olives there seemed incredibly yummy too.

Edit: Actually that's not true. Although people here do sometimes have a funny attitude towards outsiders and foreigners, I don't know anyone who holds any kind of prejudice or serious dislike for Americans. Personally I dislike US accents and various bits and pieces of what appears to be the American way of life/society, but it's a country I'd love to explore one day. I've been meaning to visit NY and Florida for years, and all of the people I know who've been on holiday to the US say they've been treated incredibly well by the people there.
