I used Budwieser to make beer chicken. It's all the fucking shop had ok?!? Anyway.. it wasn't good. Was like it'd been dragged around a piss-soaked pub toilet floor, then heated up. From now on, if the shop doesn't have a half decent bitter or ale, the chicken's being cooked in something else!

And what's the deal with 'light' beer? That's low calorie or low alcohol shit? I see those ads on TV and I think.. 'lolz, nobody's gonna buy that shit more than once here'. And every time I see one of those Coors adverts I want to gouge my own eyes out.

I love this. "American" beer is as European as can be. Its not called a lager because its American. Its German. I can drink beer from any nation, but I like my cheap American Miller Lite just fine. I cook with a German Ale if I'm using beer for the most part, but a medium ale. I love the shit out of Hefes and Whites and Wheats, but only if they're partially bitter. Other than that, if its brewed from some sort of grain or whatnot, with some hops in there somewhere, I'll drink it. Happily.

But to state that American beer isn't beer is ludicrous.

Budweiser made a damn good promotional Lager a few years back called "World Select" not to be mistaken for the "Select" that is in production now. But I'm a Heineken fan and World Select was next to Heineken imo.

As far as light beers, I think its just the calories.

Wasn't/isn't Michelob a north american beer? Was very popular in the 90's i believe. Anywas it taste like water and piss without the fizz. So does Bud.
