Just came back from the movies tonight here's my limited spoiler take on it.

All in all not a bad movie, I'd give it a 7.5/10

Pros
- Good pace to the events, there wasn't really a dull moment, every scene had its importance whether it was to advance the plot or show how the world we live in has changed for the worse.
- Character development was average, maybe a little above average. You definitely didn't feel like the characters were just people with different names.
- Action, plenty of it. The martial arts kind and the gun kind hell yeah.
- Bad ass factor, both the hero and the heroine kick serious ass, but are still mortal enough to be seriously wounded or killed.
- The bad guys (well, the good guys too) don't do the James Bond villain shit and let the enemy live. SPOILER - My favorite example of this is when one character demands information from another only to be refused (at gunpoint no less) says "Are you willing to die for the girl?" and he answers "Yes I am"....*bang* and he's dead lol. There's a lot of that in the movie. Basically anyone who fucks with the main hero or main villain (who never run into each other oddly enough) ends up getting killed.

Cons
- Ok maybe it is the future and all...but WTF is the deal with every damn Russian toting around American M4's? No love for the AK anymore? No new weapons developed yet by the motherland?
- The plot could have been explained a bit more, I felt as if we only understood about 3/4 of it and were missing something important especially in regards to the ending. Sure everything worked out in the end...except the main antagonists are still quite powerful and capable of doing the hero harm.
- Ending. Again, thought it could have been done better or had more added to it. I guess it wasn't meant to have a resolution really, just life goes on. SPOILER - Didn't understand the last scenes how the twins looked so completely different, and I'm talking different race, not just looks... Their mother is white, one girl looks a lot like her (same hair color, style and eyes) while the other is darker (different hair color, style and eyes). That soo didn't make sense.

I was reading an article in the paper about how the director pretty much hated the movie and Fox, producers etc. for ruining the movie.

lmao why does fox always fuck with shows or movies that are good or have potential to be good, and end up making them crap or worse, getting them canceled because they are to stupid to recognize good entertainment (firefly?)

Firefly got cancelled because nobody actually watched it. No matter what the quality, you can't run a business if you're spending more than you're making.

It's not dreadful but it is poor. Fuck all else out at the moment though.
