When I was with Hughes net it was pretty low but it refreshed every week. The week started when you hit your limit.

When I had it, they had some shit policy where they checked the limit every day. Downloading shit for EQ2 took me a week because I kept hitting the freaking cap.

I've still got sat net though, so caps on internet usage aren't really new. And believe me, when you've got multiple people using the internet, you can go through bandwidth a lot faster then one would imagine.

I was happy when I was able to get DSL out here, faster speeds for half the price. And my net doesn't drop when the wind blows

I really hope more ISPs dont follow this direction. 250GB might seem like a lot to some people but soon it wont be near enough.

Logically the move by Comcast should make other companies be against it to gain more customers but sadly, logic doesn't work well when money is involved.

Works very well actually. Logically if you want more money and the other guys does it, everyone else wants to do it and customers have no realistic place left to go, everyone should jump on the bandwagon to rape the most customers for money. If only <1% of customers will go over cap and most customers don't even understand whats happening, the revenues gained by picking up the protesters won't be enough to compete with just forcing them to pay more like Comcast.

Here's the thing. 250GB is a lot. Secondly, the cap has always been in place, it was just never specified. If a user goes over 250GB, they will contact the customer and ask them to curb their usage, same thing that will happen now. So, if you have Comcast as a provider, and have never been contacted by their Security peeps then you have never gone over the 250GB. Its like bitching for no god damned reason. STFU already.

They still do the same thing, if you go over the cap NOW that they did BEFORE they specifically said the number...It's a monthly cap for cryin' out loud! Waaaaahhhhh.....QQ some more :D Oh and you KNOW I'm a fucking bitch Miroh, what did you expect?
