Nice. All politics aside, Olbermann is an incessant whiner and excrutiatingly miserable to watch. Sean Hannity is a happy, charming, fun loving dude compared to this guy. Olbermann was the worst kind of nails on a chalkboard, I couldn't stand seeing him for two seconds even while flipping through the channels. His entire broadcasts were completely unbiased anti-Republican crusades. Hopefully MSNBC will be able to recover from the damage he's done, and become a news channel rather than a far left soapbox.

I agree that Anchors need to at least act impartial. Olbermann is too unabashedly left-leaning to effectively serve in that capacity. I couldn't watch the convention coverage on MSNBC as a result.

But Countdown kicks major ass. I think he highlights a lot of stuff that the mainstream media is afraid to cover. Good thing Olbermann wasn't really "shitcanned".

Chris Matthews is a douche, though. Way too emotional.

At least MSNBC takes action against partisan bias in news reporting that is supposed to be impartial.

This would never happen at FOX only because everyone knows the far right soapbox is their platform. They don't even care to pretend they are balanced. It's stupid to denounce Olbermann for it when there is an entire network dedicated to this kind of reporting.
