UK, September 18, 2008 - Nintendo's Wii has been accused of infringing on four patents with its motion sensing technology, and finds itself subject to an International Trade Commission investigation.
The claim comes from
Hillcrest Labs, creators of motion sensing technology who filed a complaint against Nintendo this August.
It's now been taken up by the US's International Trade Commission, who have the power to remove Nintendo's console from the market should they be found guilty.
"Nintendo intends to vigorously defend this action," said Nintendo in a statement to
Reuters.
