I got screwed. My dad gave me his paid off 92 Stanza, and I paid for everything else. Insurance, gas, etc. That was at 18. At 20, I wrecked it, and I've bought my own shit since.

LFG, I certainly hope you're not buying his affection, but I don't know your past, or your history with him, so I'm hoping this is a "you're a great young adult" reward, not a "please love me son, I'll buy you shit you don't need" gift.

Nah, he doesn't have a job yet, but is looking for one. He'll get one soon. He just moved out here from another state. The purpose of the gift is based on need, so he doesn't have to rely upon me for transportation, plus I feel like I owe him something nice for having to live with his mom the last ten years lol.

My first car was a 62 Plymouth Valiant that cost me $75, nobody ever gave me a car either.

Kick his ass out. If he lives with you, he is a failure. A slob. A bum. If you buy him a BMW it just amplifies it.

Unless you're trying to raise another Gaige or Pinski, kick his ass out now! 22 is 4 years past the grace period.

I found it interesting that you came to EQ2FLames to ask the advice of people you have never met, and who's only real relevance to you is a game you admittedly don't even play anymore, their advice on a major life decision like purchasing a car.

PS: Gaige was exactly right. Toss that little bird out of the nest, make him learn to fly, and EARN his own fucking BMW. Otherwise your just enabling another basement dwelling momma and daddy's boy....
