Re: Opinions prz
Its pretty standard internet etiquette to space out the post every few sentences. Why might you ask? Cause the contrast of black on white, and trying to shift left to right at the end of the page, and maintain your place in the paragraph, is irritating/annoying to most normal human eyes.
Is it easier to hit every after every 3-5 sentences, or to post over and over telling others that they are 3 year old children cause they don't want to read your eye bleeders. Those eye bleeders may also contain useful information, but since everyone skips over them, you may as well not even post.
Enter is on the keyboard twice for a reason, it's your friend.

Probably too late now, but there are a bunch of cars out there that will blow that BMW out of the water for the same money. I would check out Acura TL & Infinitely G35. Maintenance on a BMW is a nightmare specially the electrical system. My uncle and mom both have brand new M5 and 650i respectively and they both have major electrical issues.

Thank you (seriously)
I see what your saying and that actually makes total sense. I apologize that I was unaware (and wasnt putting too much thought into it) but this is pretty much the only forum I post at and I am not the most computer savvy nor internet literate.
I apologize for all the statements I made regarding my "Wall of text" because I think I misunderstood what several people were telling me. I will avoid the dreaded wall of text in the future.... I thought that just meant long post's ,lol.
EDIT: So now you all know I am an idiot sometimes and I have to agree.

I could never in a Million years buy a BMW for my son (when he is of age to drive) but even if I could there is just no way in hell. College graduation present, perhaps (if I were rich) but probably not.
I only comment because you asked for opinions. My opinion is that a bus pass would work fine and if you live in an area with no public transportation (like me) I would use my credit to get him a decent used car in the 4 to 5 k range in which he would be responsible for all payments, maintenance and insurance and if one payment was late (I would make all payments to assure it was done and he would pay me back in turn) that car would sit, parked.... Different parenting styles I guess.
My 10 year old has learned since he was born that if he wants something he works for it. He has been feeding and caring for our Chickens since 5 years of age and is now an asset to our family in that he is responsible, polite, hard working and a good student. He gets a nice allowance (for which he works hard for) and has learned to save up to buy all those extras he wants. Never will you see my son throwing a tantrum in a store or DEMANDING anything- He will politely ask if he may borrow the money for a toy, game or non essential to paid back to my Wife and I upon returning home.... Consequently he takes very good care of the things he has and is respectful of the value of things.
We probably wont be able to afford to send him to College so we are instilling in him the fact that if he wants an education he must work hard and get a full scholarship. It is what it is. Success or failure is completely up to him and we are just here to give him good moral direction, guidance , understanding and most of all Love.
We are all from different economic brackets, different Political Philosophy and have different ideals as to how our lives are lived and children raised. I would throw my kids ass out on the streets if he wasn't going to school. Period. If he was age 18 and working, his ass can get an apartment and learn about life. If he was 18 and not working , his ass can sleep under a bridge. If he was 18 and going to school or bettering himself he could certainly live at home, rent free (assuming he continues to pull his weight in the chores) and if he wanted a car he could spend his free time at a part time job and buy a car within his means.
Buying a kid a car with a price tag that your average working person couldn't afford when the kid has NO JOB. Good luck with that LFG.

From my experience when I was little my friends who had to work for everything and were not spoiled would always take advantage when offered something. Since they are having it handed to them for once they milked it for whatever they could get. If we went out to eat they'd be the ones to order multiple $10 drinks or whatever the situation was.
I'm not saying to spoil your kid silly and I'm not bashin how you parent your kid at all. I'm just saying that making a kid work for everything has some down sides.
Again not trying to be offensive. And I didn't feel like spell checking my post so there might be some misspellings =/

You may be 100% correct. I know I was a bit spoiled (not BMW spoiled) and I was a total slacker who ended up in some very serious trouble which I am still paying for today. Its funny that my sister was raised exactly as my folks raised me and she was never in trouble a day of her life and is very successful.
I think it really depends on the individual. I still blame my folks (not in a big, grudging way) for spoiling me as I feel I would have grown up much earlier (and easier) than the way things have turned out... I take full responsibility for my actions and dont want my Son to go through what I( have went through based on an attitude of entitlement.
Do I go too far? Perhaps. I guess we all fuck our kids up in one way or another.
