Google to tread on Microsoft turf - Nova Scotia News - TheChronicleHerald.ca

Some computer developpers (Acer ex) announced they would make netbooks that are able to run on Android, another google OS for smart phones/mobile devices.

Google announced they would rather make an open source chrome-based OS for netbooks.

Sounds great, until you realized that your new cool os is not compatible with your webcam, or better yet, the webcam works just not with Skype, THE ONLY APPLICATION YOU USE THE WEBCAM WITH. That's my experience in a nutshell with a rouge OS (/cough ubuntu) on my netbook, and ubuntu is probably 100x the OS this stupid Chrome gonna be.
