Actually, Noah's ark attempts to explain why we see rainbows. It tells the story of God almost wiping out humanity. This other stuff you mentioned did not come from The Bible or any other credible source.

There is nothing in The Bible that says the things God placed on earth haven't evolved since he put them here. The only time evolution is at odds with The Bible is when you try to extrapolate it beyond the actual data you have and say that it explains the origins of life.

Yes science can be tested. So where is the test and the proof of the big bang theory? Because what he is pointing out is that you sciency types believe in this big bang theory with as much faith as us religousy types believe in creation. Your only 'proof' seems to be that you think creation is ridiculous.

Even if the big bang happened, you still have a hole in the theory in that you don't explain what caused the bang or where the initial matter came from. yes yes, I realize you're getting there and the next step is to re-create the bang itself. Granted The Old Testament is rife with similar formulations but the tendency when they show is God's wrath being made manifest.

Filth, your claim of every Old Testament "hero" being a picture of Jesus is clearly colored by your background but not borne out by the text.A lot of the supporting scriptures used are divorced from their Jewish historical roots.

It's really easy to believe given the history of Christianity in Europe and the history of selective emphasis. Reading comprehension cannot be separated from the background of the reader. It's very easy to read some of the "anit-semitic" passages and place more emphasis on them than the surrounding text.

Honestly...If that is what they need to make sure they don't do immoral things.. I think they should have it.. what really bothers me is the people who use it to justify their immoral actions. There is a good reason why society doesn't look well upon people who do immoral things.

He has already stated there is easily a possibility for evolution, which would indicate he doesn't think humans just appeared here, much less 6000 years ago.

Furthermore as of now we have absolutely no idea how the big bang happened. For all we know it magically happened. Until we know what happened don't go passing around how stupid people are for believing in something they have no proof of, or just look in the mirror.
