Re: Election results 2009
I know this is going to come as a shock, but one can be "anti-abortion" and remain pro-choice. I'm one of them.

Rush went wishy washy and refused to tell his sheelpe which of the others to vote for. After votes started going every which way except his, he started giving stronger hints, but it was too late.

And yet these are the only issues Republicans have brought up as their reason for opposing Dierdre Scozzafava's nomination, because she's pro-choice and pro-gay marriage. Funny how that works.

That makes no sense. If ignorance makes someone slit their own throat then you'd have been dead a long time ago.

Yes, I agree too but what's more disturbing than all three of us agreeing is that it has to be said.

Rush supported Romney because he like many believed Romney, while a shitty candidate, was the only candidate that wouldn't piss people off and break the "coalition". The Republican nomination last year pretty much went in a stage by stage elimination: first went the crazies and far-right guys, then went the hyped and the lazy and then Romney and Huckabee split votes that allowed McCain to sneak by.Even it were a 1vs1 for the primaries and McCain won between Huckabee or Romney, none of the three was particularly a stellar choice for the Limbaugh wing or the active base. The activists knew straight out their realistic 2008 choices were worse than the Dems in 2004( I'd say better but I like McCain better than Kerry relatively speaking) and had been saying it since they prematurely danced on McCain's grave in 2007.

You're a hit and run pundit if you think your view accurately portrays the situation.

Personal choice by NO means should ever become a legislative issue.
