Re: WoW, the movie?
Resident Evil has a good enough story line to be a good movie. WoW doesn't.

FF7 Advent children wasn't bad (the fights scenes were awesome) but it was made for the fans of the game.
I'm sure the events around the 2nd rallosian war would make a good tv show.

Re: WoW, the movie?
Advent Children and Resident Evil 1 and 2 were pretty sweet imo. I am still waiting on the sequel to the Mario Bros movie.

The truth hurts. There was nothing redeeming about FF7 or any of its sequels.

Hollywood is all regurgitated crap made with slightly different story lines, why should gaming be different?
FF7 was great because it was a Fantasy/Sci-Fi setting that took a storyline and did it better then predecessors. As well as sporting superior game play and mecanics.
The world that is norath is little more then a Warped Tolkein World, whats the difference?
Also, I'm sorry that you have ADHD and cant be bothered to spend 3 extra seconds in TBC rather then RTC. Take a pill.
Please explain what you mean by redeeming to, just what was it suppose to be redemption to?

The redemption would be in the face of its glaring faults, like wooden characters, hackneyed story, and boring gameplay.
An example would be if, say, Square paid people to take it. "This was a piece of shit, but at least I made $5 out of the deal."
Also, the glaring flaw of most turn based combat is not the time it takes. In fact, you could plow through FF7 in a matter of 7-8 hours. It's the fact that the majority of implementations (especially Square's) basically take combat out of your own hands, and puts it solely into the hands of the stats. If you're not leveled to a certain point, there's no possible way you can win certain fights, which makes perfect sense, but the inverse is also true. If you're geared up and leveled to around 25, there's almost no possible way you can lose, other than unplugging the controller and taking a nap.
Obviously, dumbed down combat is not limited to turn based games, or even just RPG's. Look at something like Halo, where you can clear Legendary difficulty in just under 5 hours, but since we're discussing FF7 here, that's why I hit it the hardest.

Show me a RPG, or any game for that mater, that had half the graphics FF7 had in fucking 1997 those "wooden characters" were better then the previous generation.
Hackneyed Story? like i said before WTF isn't hackneyed nowadays? hell since 1990!?
Dude go play Dream fall the longest journey and then tell me you DONT want a hackneyed story. it may be predictable but damn if it isn't enjoyable still. Its like saying Eragon was the best movie ever and did Justice to the book.
Everything is a regurgitated hackneyed Idea that somewhere sometime has already been done. Its how the story is implemented and how the main players are portrayed that make it unique.
As for boring game play..again I'm sorry you have ADHD, get some pills and move on.

You keep saying ADHD, as if there's an attention span problem that is the root of the combat issues. The problem isn't that I don't have the attention span to complete it. It's that I do, and in one sitting, and I shouldn't be able to do that in any game.
As far as wooden characters, I wasn't referring to the graphics. I was referring to the fact that every character is a cookie cutter archetype. You have the angsty badass, the annoying tagalong, and so on (as stated in my previous post).
As for story, there's better stories out there, and in better games, too. Look at KotOR, Blood Omen, or King's Field (4 aside). Hell, even FF4 and FF6 beat it on those grounds alone, even though they were similarly terrible games.
