WoW, the movie?
http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/06/...ow-film-t.html
So that wasn't just BS and they are kinda maybe sorta serious? I don't know; I like playing the game I just don't see the "story" having enough meat to interest me long enough to sit through a movie. Am I alone in thinking this would be worse than Alien vs. Predator? I would watch it just "b/c" but I don't think I would like it and honestly I have always preferred EQ1/EQ2's lore much more than WoWs I think it would make a better movie.

Re: WoW, the movie?
The books are quite good, maybe the film won't be that bad.
Yeah, I know...

LOL.
ya...ummm WoW movie.. their lore isnt the greatest, shit its hard to even find in game except those dumb books lying around on the ground you can read.
I'm still confused about the whole azeroth thing... Hi welcome to the kingdom of Azeroth, on the contient of Azeroth, on the planet Azeroth. How original.
What would this even be about?a re-enactment of one of the games? If its just some lame random adventure like the D&D movies mentioned, it will be lame =/
Sad thing is that it will break the Bank on sells.

Hey, they liked the name and decided to stick with it... for everything. I can imagine them in a meeting...
"Ok, so we need a name for the planet"
"Well, Azeroth set the bar pretty high, Chief"
"Yeah, I was think that myself... ah, fuck it... it can all be Azeroth! Early lunch folks, we deserve it!"

Re: WoW, the movie?
Mario brothers, street fighter, double dragon, bloodrayne, house of the dead, wing commander, alone in the dark.... need I say any more? Video game based movies tend to suck real bad, and the WoW movie probably will too.
Only decent video game movies made imo were mortal combat, the first resident evil, and tomb raider.
