John Stamos 'Sent Home' After Australian Controversy
Quote:
John Stamos has reportedly been sent home to America after attacking a Sydney, Australia, TV presenter who asked him to talk about his recent jet-lag problems. The actor appeared drowsy and slurred his way through a press conference held to promote the medical drama in Australia at the weekend.
And his bizarre behavior continued on Tuesday as he attempted to explain why he had appeared incoherent to TV host Kerri-Ann Kennerley. During Kennerley's show, the actor called on Australia's Greek community to boycott The Daily Telegraph newspaper over their report of his press conference appearance.
Stamos then verbally attacked his host, criticizing her outfit and gyrating around with a studio prop in an inappropriate manner. He then compared himself to Elvis Presley and Diana, Princess Of Wales, stating, "Who else has died? My career after coming to Australia."
After the bizarre meeting, Kennerley said, "It was a bit like he'd perhaps come from a hotel mini-bar in true Hollywood style."
All of Stamos' upcoming interviews have reportedly been cancelled. The actor is said to be on his way back to America.
