Probably just following their freaked out mother.

We have fairly extensive general safety training at our plant, and confined space entry is always specifically addressed. One of things we are always taught is that if we see a person down the very first thing to do is call for help if we are alone, then secondly to survey the scene before doing anything else, and never ever enter a "confined space" without backup, even if we have access to SCBAs.

Despite all of the training I have had over 19 years, I still can't be 100% certain that I wouldn't rush to the aid of an incapitated loved one.

Before I would wish these people were eliminated from the gene pool, I would wish that on all the dumbfucks who drive without a seatbelt, drive recklessly, don't stop at stop signs, drink and drive, drive without a helmet on a motorcycle, etc... Those people are MUCH MORE fucking stupid, and in some cases much more likely to injure me or my family than these people.

Some of you are TOTAL FUCKING IDIOTS, and if you aren't sure whether this applies to you personally then it probably does. If you still aren't sure then just ask me because I could give a fuck less what you think.
