LFG line his pockets.. that's a good one. Those that have been here from the beginning can recall our growing pains but to anyone new I'll tell you this:

LFG spends over $100 a month on hosting costs alone (the exact number escapes me, I believe its closer to $150). Throw in the various contests he has sponsored and software fees and you'll start to understand how hard it is to keep this site running. If you think he'll ever break even with $0.010 advertisements you're fooling yourself. The ads are here to ease the burden, not to get rich quick.

I know that if you had asked LFG, you would have gotten a nicely written response politely declining. I actually asked LFG if I could create a flames ripoff for steam games. Here is his response (not posting this to be lame or anything) just showing that if you would ask politely instead of pulling permissions out your ass, you would have gotten a straight answer! :P

It's $190, just for the host and no extras, and that was with the discount of paying 12 months in advance. Then, the new site design we needed to accommodate advertising was $500, you need to spend money to make money. Also, we have annually reoccuring software fees, and it often seems like there is no end of cool shit we want to add on to the site that costs money.

Near the beginning of this site, I also paid small weekly salaries to both Niber and Calthine, near the beginning of the year I said fuck it after Calthine left and just gave Niber 50% legal ownership in the site to reduce my costs and so I could stop paying him.

It will cost up to $5000 to operate this site during 2007 in total. All we're looking to do is break even. That's why I'm running around doing the store and everything and acting like a one man bake sale. It's expensive to do this properly and with our bandwidth, and I don't do shitty or low budget.

Why would you have ads you have like what 20 people registered for you piece of shit site? If your site does take off I think you will soon learn if you want it to be more than just a piece of shit you're going to need to implement something. And if you're site is worth something to its' viewers a nominal fee will be nothing. So please stop with the OMG we don't have ads bullshit. This site didn't either until a few days ago.

All of this still doesn't replace the fact that your site is a piece of shit. it looks chinsy and rushed. I still think someone should overload your bandwidth though so you could get a feel for how things work. I bet that gay argument of "but we don't have ads" would go away.

From the outset this place ressembled anything but "low budget"; while yours....well.... /giggle. GL with it. I've said my piece you're obviously too retarded to comprehend and you can't flame worth poo; you're so not going to last long.
