Aerosmith has been and always shall be my ultimate fav.

These bands come in at close second:
Fear Factory
Type O Negative
A Perfect Circle
Tool
Amorphis
Iced Earth


My tastes range, all over, though. I can listen to a CD that has Opera, Enya, Steve Miller Band, Techno, Rap... and still get into it all.

no wait i lied. I've heard of Atreyu, but I've never heard their stuff. I've decided in my mind that anyone naming a band after a creepy kid in a loincloth must not have stellar music.

My favorite band has to be Static-X. Saw them in concert and they sound JUST as good as they do on thier albums. Some others I listen too often:

Fear Factory
Dio
Black Sabbath
Pantera
SOiL
Beethoven
Crystal Method

Billy Talent and Alexisonfire are Canadian, and as such probably not super mainstream in the US although Billy Talent is fairly big in the UK and gaining popularity in the States. Atreyu is from SoCal iirc so wierd you haven't heard of them. Coheed and Cambria even has a comic book ffs!
