wow my first post.. hope i am puting it in the right place.
but figured this is a good place to vent;)
well how should i begin.. humm ok well this kid threw a party across my street while his parents were away for a week in texas .. anyway this 18 year old stumbled on the fuckin tracks drunk and got hit my a frieght train me and my husband went down and assisted him and people just stod there and would not help us and the engineer of the train just stood there saying he had a bee sting kit. and asked if that would fuckin help.. i felt like saying yeah buddy .. sure this big fuckin bee came along and took off with his fuckin leg ..anyway he gave the wrong address so while me and my husband are holding this kid still i am holding his brain from fallin out of his head peeps are standing there i kept askin for atowel blankets anything to help NO ONE HELPED ..and here comes the cops 15 minutes later cause my hubby called and directed them to where we were and they fuckin were walking .. thats right walking!! mother fuck!!!!! and then to find out some nieghbor was shooting pictures .. i want to strangle thatguy ..he could of helped me and my husband.. anyway the kids alive in ICU and is gonna live.. and my other rant the god damn news .. media were fuckin knockin on my door callin my house ..anyway thanks for letting me rant.. and the moral f the story is if you see someone hurt fuckin stop and help.. and if ya cant handle it then walk away and go back to your fuckin troll hole.. just dont stand there and do nothing but take picturesgrrrrrr ok done know thanks for letting me rant .... dawnkelli

That's horrible. I'd love to get a clipping of the news story, tho, for when my kids get old enough to throw parties when I'm out of town.

Here's hoping the kid recovers, and those morons will get their brains jogging a little bit faster next time (BEE STING KIT? WTF?!)

I would assume some people didnt help because of the shock of what they had just seen. Personally Ive felt that before and it can literally put your entire body & sensations on pause. Some people react badly in situations like that. Others are trained well or can ignore the horror of what just happened.

Im glad to hear the kid is doing well. I have a few friends that drive trains here in NY and they tell me stories about hits all the time. Its really fucked up to be driving one of those, having no control to stop in time if something comes across your path.

thats really sad for the engineer and i understand the shock factor believe you .. me i was holding his brain inside his head.. but it burns me that first the engineer is trained and did not do afuckin thing and gave the wrong address .. i mean with that kind of job you have to take responibilties.. i may be being a bitch here and you know what i am all right with that!and the cops fuckin walking down the tracks and THAT STUPID troll mother fuckin idiot takin pictures!!!!!!! plus why the fuck the media gets my title wrong too asswipes i have nothing against cna's but NOT A CNA anymore.. oh well oh and the kid ended up with severed leg severe head trauma and multi fratures and severed spleen.. but the ICU nurses said he has a good chance of making it..we are gonna go see him today .. cause they called and want us to see him.

I can only speak from experience. I am one of those people who feel "iggy" when they see blood, guts or just anything that should be inside the body on the outside of the body.

This always worried me when I descided to join the Law Enforcement profession that I'd act like a complete moron if confronted by a particularly harsh accident like you described.

My fortitude was tested about 2 years into the job. I came across an SUV that had deflected off a utility pole and then into a ditch. The 1st to arrive on scene I made every attempt to avoid the debree from the accident as I approached the vehicle. I distictly remember narrowly avoiding what I thought was a laundry bag in the middle of the road.

To make a long story short the driver was very intoxicated and received very bloody but minor injuries from the collision. She was driving/ weaving down a 35mph road doing about 80mph frantically searching for her "asshole cheating fuck of a husband".

The laundry bag in the middle of the road that I avoided was her 10 month old daughter who died instantly after being projected through her windshield upon impact.

Several of my fellow officers were shocked motionless for a good amount of time. Guys that I thought were made of stone.

I was able to ignore reality and do what I was trained to do. It wasn't until days after the sadness and anger began to creep in.

I'd imagine that's why you descided to create this thread. At the time of the accident you acted calmly and composed and got things done that needed to get done. It's only after when you let what really happened sink in that you want to scream to anyone who will listen ...

I've had similar experiences working with the Fire Department. Some people literally just freeze up, kind of like a panic attack.

But I commend you on being the good samaritan. You probably saved the kids life.
