Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
He went free because he was a celebrity. As Chris Rock said, if he drove a bus, he'd be known as "Orenthal the bus driving murderer."
Lindsay went to Promises in Malibu, which isn't even rehab.
As for DUI, a second offense around here gets you tagged as a habitual offender with permanent revocation of driving privileges and mandatory jail time. Posession with intent to sell could get you 10+ years.

Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
Ok, if you listen to Chris Rock, there's 99% of your problem. Chris Rock is one of the most racist individuals I've ever listented to. OJ was freed because he's black, as was Michael Jackson (cause he's still black deep down in his center)
I guess your state is different. In Illinois, 1st offense 6 months no license. 2nd offence within 5 years, 1 year no license and possible 3 months jail (no one EVER gets that) 3rd offense revokation of driving privileges.

Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
If OJ was freed because he was black, and not because of his celebrity status, then why are there so many black people currently sitting in prison? Why can't these "lolracism" arguments work for them as well?

Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
Umm because alot of them do get off? They statistically commit more violent crimes? I can go on and on. But there are areas that almost WON'T convict a black man because they feel racist.

100% untrue. Look at any state's conviction statistics, they all pan out the same.

Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
I had a nice response...but then I decided that I wasn't going to be called a racist on these boards for having an opinion that contradicts the social pity I'm supposed to have for african americans.

Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
i have no experience with law and instances of racial discrimination through the process whether it be for minority or majority.
what i do have experience with is through racism in regards to financial institution and government financing. i work with many of my clients from the brainstorming stage of the business, to restructuring, to just plain i want to improve my facility. you have no idea the advantages a minority has when owning a business. By minority its pretty much everyone that isnt a white male b/c females count as a minority as well. When working with someone from the brainstorming aspect of the business if they are white/male the first thing i tell them is "do you trust your wife?" because guess what if you want this to be easier she is going to be a 51% or higher owner depending on what you plan on needing but its always best to make them at least 75%. If they are a minority outright i get excite b/c i can loan them more money and get more federal backing at less risk to myself. Minorities are in fact my "prefered customer."
most government processes are identical so i can only assume there are many of the same red flags and triggers that could lead to a mistrial in favor of a minority. I dont think in any way whatsoever that a man saying the word ****** constitutes a desire to wipe black people off the face of the planet or in this case planting evidence just to get some black man to go to jail. Fury and anger and comedy cause people to do/say things that get interpretted incorrectly or seen as the norm for an individual. When this happens you are basically judging someone by 1 page out of the book of their life...kinda reminds me of how black people hate being judged for 1 page out of the history of their life.
There still is a definate racial tension in the US as well as the world. I dont ever see it going away. As long as there are still special rules for anyone whether it be race, religion, or economic status, there will be discrimination.

Re: Poor Lindsey Lohan
This was my earlier response.
So all 50 states are racist? Is that opposed to maybe blacks commit more violent crimes per capita? Where I'm from I know for a fact that a black person has to commit the same crime so many times over is crazy in order for them to even be taken to trial. Anyone else? We get the hammer. And this is southern Illinois. We're supposedly racist too. The problem is, no one wants to be called racist, so people are automagically afraid of discussing this topic ever, because as soon as someone throws that term out, argument lost. People lose their credibility, and aren't even allowed to defend themselves.
The reverse racism is so much more dangerous in this country, that its amazing. No one even talks about Obama's messages, only "stupid unintelligent Republican Americans won't ever vote a black man in" And that's coming from the socialist liberal nutjobs.
Most people didn't even know who OJ was until during his trial. I remember being in school and watching a thing where people were like "no, I don't believe I know anyone named OJ" They had to be TOLD he was a celebrity.
There might be some prejudice, but its just as equal on the reverse tangent as on the forward one.

I don't expect her to get serious jail time. Im sure she won't.
I've seen the opposite side of a DUI before (fire department) And the people that make excuses about driving drunk are idiots. thousands of people die each year due to drunk driving. Innocent people are the victims most of the time. I'll leave my rant at that, but please before making a statement like this again, think about the people that are also affected from those who choose to drink and drive.
Personally I think anyone caught drinking and driving should get minimum 3 months.. Just to think about it.
