Assassin Farming?

I love my assassin in raid and pvp.

However, Im not doing well when I attempt to farm any t8 heroic zone. ie Karnor's, SoF, Chelsith.

My toon has..

Myth
166 AA- I know endlines will help with lifetap
6 piece pvp armor
Admiral's Chain, Hand of Enduring Assassin (rest of jewelry is Melee crit legendary)

10kish health - can get to 11.5k with the aa spec I tried
I parse around 12k on dummy and 9k on temp pulls in raid.

Main question is has anyone developed an aa setup or gear combo that makes the sin competetive with brig/swash.

I do understand that some of my jewelry needs work and I need a shield like the one from pof with about 1k protection instead of the one I am currently using.

I love playing assassin, but I want to be able to farm as well, so if this doesnt work, I may have to betray ranger or put this toon on hold to grind a farming class.

Thanks for any help

you went for anashti, but she was quite prickly, and now you all got screwed because she's fugly...

yeh yeh sri for the replacement lyrics to a song, got carried away (us bards tend to!).

I have looked into both Anashti Sul and Rallos Zek, and I'm comparing the 2 main benefits of these deities:

Zek - 10% CA mod, 10% CA Reuse (10 min blessing)
Anashti - 10% Spell + CA Mod

We don't do spells any more do we? which makes the spell useless.

Also, with Zek you get 10% reuse.

And on top of that - what Miracle would you use? I can't see any in anashti's arsenal worth a mention but on zek, I see Battlegod's Furor:
- 20% melee DA
- 20% frontal
- 100% MC
- 100% Enlargement (for some of us, this enlargement is the bizz ;)).

Just thought I would ask you guys as I have been told Anashti Sul and I am currently Zek, and don't wanna change and find that actually Zek is better.

Thanks guys!

Blue Stats

So, im getting sick of having to link a couple pieces of gear in the guk.ass channel to get peoples opinion on which is better. It appears to annoy people.

I was wondering if someone could just give it to me straight out, the heirarchy of blue stats to an assassin.

I know MC is good, but at what % should i start focusing more on DA?

Is 25 CA dmg worth more then 1 MC? (Example, A Ring with 75 ca damage and 2 MC compared to a ring with 3 MC and 50 CA damage)

or is something with +3 dps and 2 mc, better then something with 3 mc?

ok.. i could go on all day.. i know my question is a little vague, but i basically just want someone to clarify which Blue stats are more important.

Mine's currently at 74,646... but im sure I have seem myself do 90k assassinates.

My question is, what would your group setup be for highest assassinate?

I was thinking, Coercer + dirge and that's all I can think of off the top of my head (with a SK in raid for Unholy Strength).

Any other nice tips on getting a higher assassinate? I have just done a sample one with a SK and dirge and got 55k...

Thanks guys :) (btw am wearing choker too).

Image: http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/199/aa101109.jpg

There :)

*Explained (for newcomers):

Predator Tree*
The *STR* *endline* is possibly the best thing to get first. Helps a lot with dps, as it's like having a non-life-cutting-choker for our higher reuse abilities.
*Other notables:*
*A CA to tap when everything else is down
*Some parry which helps with solo/physical AE's
*Some Melee crit with this which is a main stat for your assassin.

The *AGI endline* is possibly the next most important thing for us to get, as it means we can get CA's planted quicker (meaning Concealment chain>FFU doesn't delay your autoattack as much).
*Other notables:*
*A CA to tap when everything else is down
*Some movement speed for this, which is fun =D
*Some ranged crit on the off chance that you might actually ranged something

The *STA line* is for the frontal, and since most TSO encounters are AE (instances, and then some raids), it is a nice boost to our dps.
*Other notables:*
*A CA to tap when everything else is down
*Some Health

*Assassin Tree
**Bleeding Line, since these abilities are your DOTs and will parse whilst you can do other things
*Poisons Line, for another temporary buff to add to the rotation
*Tricks Line, least priority for us since it's not as useful as other stuff in the tree. Generally nice to have lower reuse on Sinister Strike.

*Shadows Tree
*For *General*, it doesn't matter. Tailor it to your own needs, if you harvest a lot then pick that... etc. Just waste your 10 points in there somehow.

For *Scout*, Quick Strike damage, Offensive Prowess (for Whirling Blades) and Sinister Strike is the best for us as the rest is useless. Just allocate your points in these 3 as you wish, but only put 10 points in them. The endline just for another CA to bang.

For *Predator*, we don't really need more health, and if Ignorant Bliss hate reduction increase (nice oxymoron aye?) is going to make all the difference, your tank needs shooting. Also, most assassins are capped on hate. The other 3 + endline seem reasonable enough to cap out all of them, with the end line being mainly just another CA to try and get out early if you need to debuff something.
(Insidious Strike, Cut Arteries, Critical Mastery)

For *Assassin*, the Killing Blow is like a portable version of Death Chimes, the Mark of the Assassin adds 3 to the trigger count (almost certain that any Assassin who raids has this), Poison Mastery (poison damage increase) is good for us since we use poisons (duh), and then that leaves us 8 points to get endlines and Crippling Strike since it does a nice amount of damage already.

Stealth Mastery Increases all crit multipliers of Stealthed abilities by 10% (so normally when you crit hit, your hit is multiplied by 1.3, it will go up to 1.4).
Touch of the Nightshade is a nice hit to get out whenever you can. I would put this in the same area as Crippling Strike and Death Blow on your hotbars (and maybe even near your stealthed abilities).

I was wondering if i should go to the STA line at all or just stick with the STR, AGI, and INT line. I very rarely ever use my bow in grps or raid so i think that ranged crit is pointless for an assassin. I dont know... what do you guys think?

If there are other posts about this i am sorry in advance.

Been running WOEs pretty regularly lately to help gear guildies. Last night Lavapoint \aITEM -1573024469 8816304:Lavapoint\/a dropped for me. I had been carrying Marrow's Song \aITEM -742519407 1016514910:Marrow's Song\/a. I know niether is optimum for an offhand, but for the time being, in your oppinion which should i wield, Marrow's has a better rating by 5 points & +40INT but Lavapoint has +4 attack speed/+2 double attack/+2 melee crit. Ive been operating under the assuption that melee crit>all so I equipped Lavapoint but havent had the opp to really use it. In main tank group w/ dirge i parse 7-9k on bosses & 5-7k ZW with Marrow's in my offhand. Any feedback is appreciated.
