			<description><![CDATA[I sure wish they'd either remove the hate increase from staggering blow so I could actually use it. I'm not raid geared, and until I am I can't tank hard zones where maybe a single target tuant would be useful. 

Though in honesty, even in my crap gear I've never needed any help holding aggro on single targets. We have plenty of means for holding single target aggro.

Be really nice if this changed to maybe something like an Blue AOE with the hate increaser toned down a bit.]]></description>

			<description>So Traxor pointed something out in WW Monk chat. Mutagenic, Chaos, and that Frozen Burst stuff got a buff... but was nerfed dramatically in the process. 

Instead of improving your percentage trigger chance, it improves your damage by 33%. So with three pieces, you can get to 99% cap. But still run around with a 10% chance to proc with no other modifiers from other gear or spells. With a dirge you can get to 12%, and more with a few other classes.

So was the +33% dmg boost worth the lower trigger amounts?</description>

*Current Bruiser Issues :* 
 
*_Hit Rates_ : *Currently our defensive stance offers no real means aggro control/stability because our hit rates suffer so much that we lose our main source of aggro ( DPS via CA's/autos ) Pretty much every tank suffers from this, but brawlers get the worst of hit since as a class we were designed around hitting the mob to generate hate.
 
*_AOE DPS :_* We are the only fighter class w/o a sustained aoe auto attack, this is crucial in keeping hate in AOE heavy zones. Right now in order to keep hate from any fight with 3 mobs + brawlers need to spam the tab key like a rabid monkey with down syndrome. This could be alleviated somewhat via a change to the wis line, either by upping the damage on our AOE proc, making it proc more, or just adding in AOE auto attack like we want lol.
 
*_Rock Skin :_* This Temp buff is utterly useless, the days of stunning yourself to survive the last couple of hits from a mob are long gone, and as such this needs to be updated. I don't know how long we as community have been begging for a change, but it needs to happen. At the very least SOE could make it so Close mind overwrites the stun portion of the buff.
 
*_KoS Stamina AA line : _*Very poor AA line in general and needs to be revamped just as our str AA line was. Make it gives us increased hit rates or increased proc %'s or really anything then what it currently is.
 
*_Bruising Spirit : _*This temp buff is fine atm except that imo it's kinda unfair that the monk equivalent is up all the time, with no cool down. I suggest maybe lowering the mit gain by a small bit as a trade off for being able to have it up all the time. ( keep the hp drain obviously )
 
*_Shrug Off : _*It's been said time and time again, but avoidance buffs in general should be changed to make fighters, specifically brawlers, more desirable in raids. Also with the upcoming Xpac and lvl raise, are we really going to still be using a lvl 60 spell? /shrug
 
 *_All Multi hit Ca's :_* The only change I would like to see is that consecutive hits are still allowed to roll for a hit/miss even if the hit before misses. It makes no sense that because my first hit missed, now the other 7 miss automatically. This would help a little bit in the aoe department as well since our biggest AOE can hit multiple times.
 
And Finally :
 
*Don't give us abilities if you are just going to make mobs immune to them with the next LU.*

That's pretty much it for now, as I have work soon. If you have any ideas/issues then please post them as I plan to keep this thread updated at least until beta invites start going out ( whenver that will be lol )

			<description><![CDATA[In another thread a discussion started about brawler tanking, so I figured I'd make a new thread for a bruiser tanking discussion, and also we can talk about boobs... ya know, to keep this discussion different than the 500 other brawler tanking discussions we've had over the past year or 2.  

  So here is basically where I see us (Bruisers) in terms of tanking right now.  Like always we CAN tank anything in the game, but are not ideal in most situations.  We have a few advantages over other tanks, but all in all, many raids really don't "Need" a brawler.  

   Our biggest problem is our survivability at the moment.  Only brawlers with the absolute BEST gear available are able to catch up to (And in very rare cases surpass) plate tanks in terms of mitigation.   Strike-Through has completely ruined the entire concept of avoidance tanking.   Brawlers are also the only type of tank with no independent Save vs Death.  

   Hate is also a large problem for us, especially now.  AoE hate is almost always required to tank in TSO, and we only have 2 tools for AoE hate.  Divide and Conquer is restricted to encounter, and is only temporary, and isn't available fast enough for us to rely upon.   Aside of that we can hit temps (Chi, Knockout, Lycanthropic rage etc) and hit our AoEs, and hope that did enough damage to keep our AoE hate.  Usually though it is not, and we are forced to tab target, and watch the Red Bars over mobs' heads to try to ensure we have hate.  

   Another hate issue is Mem-Wipes.   (Let me add that I am really hoping this problem pretty much goes away next expansion).  Our "Lock" abilities do not work in TSO, forcing us to completely loose aggro on mobs that mem-wipe.   Sure, SOME mobs only drop you one hate position, but many, if not MOST, drop you all the way to the bottom of the hate list, forcing you to re-establish 24 hate positions.  This mechanic was probably intended to encourage raids to bring extra fighters in raids, but instead they simply bring crusaders instead.  SK and Paladin are MUCH more capable of recovering from a 24 hate position wipe than we are.  We have to attack as much as we can, hit all of our rescues, (hoping they don't resist), and once we are high enough we can hit rescue and pray it gets us back on top.  If it doesn't then we are screwed, and have to wait, hoping that our dps and hate transfers will give us the rest of our lost hate positions fast enough so more people don't die... then again if the mob kills enough mages and scouts... well then we will get aggro back eventually so I guess we can just simply wait it out.  

  What needs to happen?  

1. Improve our avoid buff, make it so good that raids say "Dude we really should get a brawler in here!
2. We need some strikethrough prevention.  An Immunity to Strikethrough would be excellent.
3. We need a Blue Rescue - Change Staggering blow to an Blue AoE and make it actually land on mobs!
4. Let Drag and DaC work on everything except for a few "Special Case" mobs, like Leviathan.
5. Fix god damned Melee Hit Rates when we are in Defensive... actually just fix em all around


And last but not least - Boobs!
