It's killing me too, lol. The /browser set to the Allakhazam search is one of the best tools I have (next to my laptop for on-the-fly data entry)! BTW, you don't need Fetish for that

LOL, that's my boss, the one, the original, Allahkazam himself, who darn near (IMO) invented the spoiler, I mean helper game site!

In the meantime, if anyone wants to get submissions off their desktop, send 'em to me at calthine @ [that website I work for], I'm getting my 'Zam mail intermittently when the site's up between attacks.

True that. But I became truely addicted to it with the little A button right above the quest window. Hit that, takes you right to the search page for the quest your on. ABSOLUTELY addictive I think that function is. Plus, I like the looks of the fetish UI. Can't stand the default one, and atm profit just doesn't fit my style.

I never liked having to fix my UI every update, but Hubby tells me I'm living in the old EQ1 Dark Ages and to get with the times, lol.

An update, we are still undergoing DDOS attacks, but we're making headway. I wish whomever would just demand the ransom already....

In my opinion, the US should adopt the Islamic penalty of amputating the body part used to commit a crime for this sort of thing.

Except, the problem never resides in the US, thus US laws are meaningless.

The US laws are quite harsh, when I was 16 I was raided by the FBI for hacking. I was never taken to court but having my parents house searched and being taken into custody left an impression I'll never forget. Oh, and having to pay a "federal" lawyer is not cheap. They take this stuff very seriously.

.. and most attacks are at least indirectly from the US. Most overseas boxes lack the bandwidth to make a major impact. I had 1000s of .kr boxes when I quit but they couldn't drop anything larger than a cable modem. University lines are the best place for hackers to acquire bandwidth, they're rarely secure and often times operate on T3+ lines.

maybe all the plat farmers world wide have had enough of everyones snide comments and have formed a bot net to take all those down that don't allow thier advertisements!
