You can now publish your ACT/ODBC export parse online at EQ2.ca Real Life Quest whereas your parse info is exported to the site via ODBC and ACT would be available to you at yourtoon.eq2.ca. You can access your website and database via ssh (FTP soon enough). Enjoy!

EQ2.ca Real Life Quest is a community of websites made by the users. By joining you get a website - literally an entire website with access via ssh and winscp to your directory on the server (Shell ring a bell?).

The website new users get is very easy to edit and update but expect some learning curves if you have never worked with your own website before - it is a full blown content management system.

ACT is Advanced Combat Tracker. It has a feature to export the data derived from your combat logs to a database.

The database it uses in this case will be the new users database.

I hope that clears things up for you.

You don't have to use ACT to have a nice new yourname.eq2.ca website either. It is optional.

I would suspect for the most part it will be a journey not a destination as new users learn more about having a real website and not some crappy myspace site.

You hit the nail on the head in clear english something I would almost have to do programatically lately.

While at the outset it is pretty impressive the code that handles the parse information needs work. It works but things could be better.

I'm inviting anyone with any type of coding skill to join and work on the code to improve it. Most coders will be comfortable using ssh or WinSCP to edit the code.

This is the goal of the project anyhow.
