Re: Affinity Media Sells IGE
Sony's a good example, especially since they've been known for suing themselves (Sony Music vs Sony Electronics over their MP3 players, for instance).

But you'd be incorrect in this situation anyway. If I were required to prove the truth of what I've said after being sued for libel on the theory I defamed IGE or Affinity Media by making false claims against them, the judge in the case would allow me to submit a discovery request to IGE/Affinity, which would force them to give me a copy of all documents in their possesion, custody or control with any relevance to what I said, or tending to prove what I said about them is true.
Here I am. For legal service, I can be contacted at elleffgee@comcast.net, and I will respond. But please remember to include your agent for service of process so I can respond in kind. I am not a noob in this situation.
But Widem, can you please park the Disso bandwagon on this one. Attempting to support your guildmates and make me look bad by jumping in on things you don't have the first clue about only makes you look like a retard.
Thank you

I want to sue Pontiac for having shitty stock rims, that "all of the sudden", get a 2.5 inch dip in them a couple months after my Warranty was up. You up for the job? I can pay you in Corona.
*edit*
To be OT, to be honest who cares who owns what, I don't visit their site cause it sucks, not because of who owns em. Also, Yantis is a good businessman, I mean he is like the King of virtual item selling isn't he? As long as you have casuals, there will be buying/selling of virtual goods. They work either too much or they don't feel like the time is worth being spent on earning the stuff, and it is easier to work a few hours to buy it.
I have never bought anything in EQ2, even when I was casual. But I admit years and years ago I bought 50k plat in EQ (only bought it when they took out th eonly way I knew to make money, Aqua Goblins ), when I was working 70-80 hour work weeks @ a dialysis clinic.

I'd invite you to give us another look. We've got three new staff members since February and we're kicking some database ass. Is it 100% updated? No, we only have two hands each. Is it getting better every day? Damn straight it is, and I've got the tendonitis to prove it, lol.

I just wanted to make clear that I've never said anything negative about your content (except the naiive misinformation Tamat published as his Born to Raid series), only your management and ownership.
I still like you even though we've had this dispute.

Re: Affinity Media Sells IGE
The Co-Founder and major stockholder of IGE is still Brock Pierce, which is the Chairman of Affinity Media.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brock_Pierce
His first dot com venture went bad and he fled the country in the midst of sexual abuse allegations or something, lol.
Quote:
Pierce began enjoying a lavish lifestyle in Los Angeles riding the Dot-com bubble with the Digital Entertainment Network. As an 18 year old, Pierce was making $250,000 a year and held 1% of the company's shares.[6]After the collapse of the Digital Entertainment Network, Pierce fled the U.S. with co-founders Marc Collins-Rector and Chad Schackley after a number of former underaged DEN employees accused the three of sexual abuse, drugging them, and making violent threats. They were later dubbed by the New York Post as the "dot-com perverts."[7][8][9] The three were arrested by Spanish police before being returned to the U.S. to face charges of transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts. Only Collins-Rector was charged.[10]
Pierce is now a major shareholder in IGE, a well-known MMORPG gold-selling company,[11] as well as the chairman of Affinity Media[12] , a company which owns a variety of MMORPG-oriented websites, including Thottbot, IGE, Allakhazam, and OGaming.

Re: Affinity Media Sells IGE
Were we to write a quest database engine, LFG would have the server power to fucking shut Allakhazam down. But I guess that's what eq2i.com was supposed to accomplish. So tell me again, why are eq2 players going to Allakhazam?
