progression based on level cap increases just seems to cheap, lazy, and depressing.

kind of like doing Meth... or going to walmart.

Also,
whats the point in having a T5? How many legit guilds actually raid it? only guilds I know that raid it are plat farming guilds. The Average new EQ2 player will never raid Tier 5, they will play casually and never raid or they will grind to cap and join a casual raid guild that does T6 and low end T7 or a hard core guild that does high end T7 so in fact he never even experiences T6 raiding either. (unless you happened to be in Ethereal Legacy and the leader made the guild do T6 raids for "Guild Funds")

With no progression between tiers why arent these old zones at the very least recycled and used again? all they do in their current state is cater to plat farmers.

The only progression in this game is you have to own the original game and DoF to play EoF.
