The bottom line here is what has kaalia EVER done to influence MAGES across server lines to be better players and more knowledgeable about the game?
The answer is, of course, a resounding, NOTHING.
The things other nominee's have done, especially Calaglin, are too numerous to count.
Shit here is the defenition of influence:
"the capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others"
First off, the sheer idea of a battlemage is ridiculous. You can do better dps AND tank better as other classes. In short, a wizard who wants to be a battle mage in eq2 is a useless character, one that will create more problems for any group or raid they are a part of than solutions they provide.
I am willing to bet my account that Calaglin can out parse, out solo, and even take a test and score higher on general game knowledge that only someone of great influence can have than Kaalia will. Fuck, I bet my entire guild would throw in their accounts vs just 1 because there is no chance in hell Calaglin would lose this bet for us.
Can anyone actually name one thing that makes Kaalia more influential in a postive way for the mage community than calaglin? I dont think ANYONE can.
