What other purpose does a ranger serve other than DPS? That argument might be valid for classes that have support abilities, but DPS is all rangers do.

Btw, nobody is saying this game takes no skill, but you're implying it has the individual characterists comparable to an FPS.

This game is not an FPS, nor is the skill set anywhere near the caliber needed. All you have to know is which sequence of buttons to press. If you had to aim your spells (Asheron's Call anyone?), then maybe it'd be different.

All you have to do in a FPS is know what sequence of buttons to press and when, and where to move the mouse, if you oversimplify like that.
