Ahh, well...

To a degree he is right - and I believe I actually agreed with him in that thread.

Online anonmity pumps up a lot of cyber muscles for some people. Gaige and I don't always get along - but he's absolutely right in that aspect.

I don't agree with the whole sheep thing as I'm not as cynical and I believe what you see online is MORE true than what you see in real life as online behavior in the "real" world will get you your ass kicked quick fast and inna hurry.

But I'm assuming you linked this in reference to #39.

If so, I'm guessing again to a degree you will be right. Very few people open themselves "truly" in perception online. I can only name a few that I've met that are exactly as they represent themselves online.

I count myself as one of them.

I agree with Coyote. What you see of people online is a glimpse of their personality that they likely don't show a whole lot in RL to avoid sound ass kickings.

I freely admit that what people see of me online isn't the sum of what I am, nor would I want it to be. I imagine that a lot of people hold that sentiment.

I completely believe that most people show a tiny part of themselves online. Its an escape from the real world into a cyber one where you can be who ever you want to be.

Not every 300lb virgin can be a uber hot player dating a stripper. /shrugs. I think its very rare to find someone online who is what they say there are 100%.

A lot of people are like that. Coyotes actually the only person I know that is all up in your face right off the bat, no alcohol required.
