I dont buy plat , but have sold many an item i knew was purchased with bought plat. Selling big ticket, high end gear is a gamble a lot of the time. Using the broker is a good way to protect yourself but cant do that with no-trade items. If you sell someone a no-trade item for bought plat and it is discovered to be bought plat , you will lose the plat and have no recourse to get the item back.

Never felt the need in EQ2. You could cut the plat sellers profits down to close to fuck all if the stupid spell/ca books drops were revamped.

Or if the Sage's could make something useful. A3's from rares as a stop gap for new 60-70's is piss poor imo.

If baffles me that people bother to play games to cheat. It seems totally pointless, but then I don't have to cheat to accomplish anything in game, and I don't need to fling my big dick around to feel cool.

I bought something like 2 plat off ebay when I started my first char just to make things easier - yeah I know it was lazy, but that was like 2 years ago.

I would be scared to buy these days since they seem to be banning accounts for people who buy plat.

Well I often wondered the same thing. Anyhow here is a story to shed some light on the question. The the other day I was in BB farming the howling bangle.. Someone msgs me and asks me to help kill a named.. so i help. Then he continues and asks me if i will help him grind xp. I explain that im locked at 16 and dont care about xp but would be willing to help another time maybe. Then he continues and tells me about how nice my gear is and junk. I told him i spent like 35pp on it and hes like wow etc. I thank him and then he says and i quote, "my dad is buying me 100pp for xmas." I was speechless and wanted to give him my account for some reason/ alt f4 real lives around me.
