I play on Nagafen, and I saw two different groups of bots outside of Splitpaw (Upper Tunnels) in Thundering Steppes.

One was a Q group, the other was the FP group.

You see bots a lot around there though, grinding the gnolls. These bots, however, were level 59 bots. The Q group didn't stay around long and zoned back into Upper Tunnels.

Farming the Upper Tunnels for trash drops and/or the occasional master chest?

Paying for Splitpaw doesn't seem to fit the bot theme of minimizing costs while maximizing plat/drops

Even assuming they're using a stolen credit card number to pay for it or a key generator for pre-payed cards <do those even exist anymore?> The only advantage I see with splitpaw is that they're unlikely to get petitioned there since they won't be seen in a low traffic area like that

Hm, I thought I replied to this, but guess I never actually hit Submit Reply. Oh well.

Anyways, I basically pointed out that there's at least one fury/wizard 2-boxer on each server in Mystic Lake who finds it cost effective to buy Fallen Dynasty. So it's not at all silly to suppose the farmers would find it useful, on a PvP server, to farm an instance that scales with level. Anywhere else, they'd either too quickly outlevel it or they'd get ganked nonstop and lose more than they gained. It's probably going to cost them more in the long run not to buy Splitpaw on a server where farmers can themselves be farmed.

Just petition them for suspected botting and professional farming and let them eat those accounts up with Splitpaw for a cherry on top.

They have probably level locked themselves at 59 and doing the "Very Hard" instance. This will be mostly blue to them and the mobs drop lots of adept 1's and trash with the occasional master. Back in the day I used to get around 1pp a run doing this. It's a safe bet for them because they can't be killed by players, out of sight out of mind for folks who petition them and there is a meder and a merchant down there to sell trash too.

There is no "Very Hard" instance for Level 45+. It stops scaling once you hit Level 45 now.

Interesting, I wonder what they are doing then. I haven't entered the Splitpaw tunnels since I took one of my alts through in the early DOF days.

I took a level 70 in there about a month or 2 ago and everything was level 50. So the lvl 45 thing was either done recently, or at lvl 45, you get lvl 50 mobs. But when i originally went in with my main, I remember the mobs always being my level except for the arenas.
