Am i the only one who noticed that the "botter who dinged" is a different char than the one who was kicked from guild? What botter program switches characters and then starts crafting on a non-crafting character.

Syrk is the toon spamming "111111111"

Guild events reads:
Syrk gained a tradeskill level and now is a level 62 provisioner.
Bogdare kicked Syrk from the guild.

I think you misread, Aly.

the cat came in the picture because he was gheto macroing with the nostromo that he tried to use as an excuse, a cat probably bumped the mouse and moved the pointer and caused it to spam 1s in the wrong location.

My question still stands though, why would the enter key be apart of the macro? if it can macro mouse clicks and key strokes repeatadly, enter would not be required.

If enter was the activation key that implies someone was their pushing it. if the bot was set to infiniate loop the activation key would of only had to be pressed once. But why would anyone make enter the activation key and not say... 5 or T or -???

This nostromo thing has me interested, I think ill look into it more and the scripts used by other known bot programs compatible with eq2 as well.

I want to know what causes the 111111 spam and why a script would possibly use the Enter key.

I used to use MQ2 back in EQ1 and never before have I come across a script that used it, excepy maybe automated messages.

I mainly used it for autofire before they finaly implemented it. (80% of rangers that were worth a crap did! ) ... well until I got burnt out and tried out the all mighty plug ins =p

It was never explained. And i was basically told i was the one breaking guild rules for creating drama in guild chat.

But again just so everyone knows. I loved this guild, best guild I had been in since Pre DOF horde.

98% of the people in this guild ROCK. They are funny and overall very very cool people to hang with.

None of this would have been brought outside of guild if the leader (whos mail you can read in rate a retard) would have just said "hey this looks like a bot we slpped the wirst lets get past this" before inviting back in.

Ahh well water under bridge.

It can macro mouse clicks, but the nostromo macro generator is really clunky (except for macs I hear), the record function does not record mouse clicks and trying to enter a mouse click into a macro generated with record is a nightmare. So he is basically using the enter key as a mouse click.

Again, I haven’t used my nostromo in ages, and I never really used it much, so it could be completely different now.

Last night I tried to hold my mouse over a button and hit enter and it did nothing. Someone here said that it would be treated as a mouse click. Is there a setting that allows that?

I tried that in T6, My cat wanted to help DPS the tree in living tombs... She ended up wiping the raid though.

I think its an add-on, I use default but I have seen some other UI's have it set up so you can even hit enter to accept windows like loot windows.

If anyone made an add-on to make enter a mouse click they did it with the express purpose of cheating. their is just no reason what so ever to do that under normal circumstances.

That said, if they are smart enough to create a script to emulate a mouse click, they should be smart enough to know Enter is the worse choice.

Also, Again if it was mapped so that enter was a activation key it would only be pressed once in a infinite looping macro. if the macro wasn't set to loop that would imply that someone was their pressing the Enter(Activation) key.

Now, question to Nostromo users. Does it have a script program to create macros in? or is it just an emulator, where you set it to record do the command, then assign it to a hot key to repeat what you just did?

to clear up my stance I think he did cheat, just the way he cheated is more interesting to me then the fact he did it.

There are a few tradeskill UI mods which assigns the enter key to begin and repeat buttons. It allows repeated crafts without any mouse interactions.
