Hi! I've been reading these forums a bit lately since I started playing EQ2. Thanks for all the tips I've found here.

After finding this subforum I though those of you who post here would find this information interesting to say the least.

In summary, the IGE company which sells MMO gold for most online games is owned by a known and convicted child abuser, Brock Pierce. And funding for the company has possibly been linked to other old buddies of his who were also convicted in the same crimes.

Personally I wouldn't advocate purchasing gold from any blackmarket source. You really can't tell who you are putting yourself or your money in contact with. You are also risking fraud or phishing scams. Much like real world blackmarkets the people in charge are rarely upstanding citizens which means you are probably financing other crimes with your 'innocent' actions.

Yeah I just posted this here and then saw that you did. That whole story is just bizarre and almost surreal. I didn't even go into thinking there would be any IGE connection, but when I hit that part I was pretty stunned. The whole thing is just messed up.
