I play on a JP server, which has no farmers. The economy is awesome. I can buy my Masters at level 32 for 5 to 10 gold a piece, and mastercrafted gear for 15 gold a piece.

I can't afford any masters or mastercrafted at lower levels on other servers.

How old is that server?

I'd suspect that server age more than anything impacts prices, as the older servers have far more currency in circulation due to there being a much higher rate of currency entering the game than leaving.

What is a JP server? Are we still talking about EQ2?

Is it a moral issue?

What im really asking is, is how does some wayyyy underpaid east asian making some sort of living affect you?
Do a google search for Class-Action Lawsuits against IGE. WoW players are doing it. Many of the reasons for the player's participation in it is due to how it effects their gaming experience.

How do you feel when some bot group comes and jacks a named from you while you were clearing, healing or getting power? You know, the loot they just got, that they are going to sell for cash, you could have used to better your toon or whatever.

It disrupts our game play. We should not be hassled or harassed because of these people.

Read the EULA. People who hack get banned, its against the EULA. People who constantly violate the EULA get banned. So, people who sell Gold should be banned, its against the EULA.

One plat seller had sent me a tell one time. I responded with a "Fuck off" and they asked why I said that. I told them it was against the EULA and that it was stealing because it wasn't theirs to sell.

Basically, if they could be tried, I believe it would fall under at least Grand Larceny if...."IF" charges were made. Thats just one law being broken. SoE probably couldn't go after the farmers themselves with all the restrictions of international law but they could go after their employers within the states and where ever else SoE's branched are.

With all my talk of Breaking the EULA, me telling plat spammers to "Fuck Off" is justified imo from what I stated in this post.

I'm tired, hopefully I made sense.

The lawsuit route is a dangerous one, especially if those filing the suit are claiming the tort is based off diminished game enjoyment. After all, it's a fine line between a bot group taking a named and another legitimate player. How much longer before guilds start suing each other over contested raid mobs?

Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where the precedent set by such a lawsuit would have a far more negative impact on MMOs than farmers and sellers do.

Guilds are not selling shit for real cash though except on Station Exchange. On other servers, who knows.

I have an alt on pvp who farms certain zones for masters and such, since there is still a market for lower tier items. But, unfortunately, I have a really hard time because of the fucking bots. So I train them when I can or, kill them if they are a different faction.

Its annoying as fuck. I made him a bruiser because I knew he could solo well and help my main with getting plat. But as above, he's not able to kill much usually because the bots are doing it.
