Does buying/selling plat really affect you?

Ive often wondered what the big deal is with people earning a living farming plat then selling it.
Is it a moral issue?

Is it a matter of principalities?

Is it cheating?

Other than unwanted spam i get via the mail and tells its more of an annoyance than anything else.

What im really asking is, is how does some wayyyy underpaid east asian making some sort of living affect you?

I know some douchebag will call me an asshole or whatever clever adjective, im just merely creating a discussion, im not advocating buying or selling plat.

In places like Pillars of Flame, it's pretty freaking impossible to do some of the quests, because the farm squads monopolize all the spawns. It's also pretty hard to get a named that you need for aaxp or for quests when there's a bugger squad perma camping all the good spawn areas.

That's actually kind of humerous because I think I'm on your server and was playing in PoF wednesday with my friends and boxed characters on /follow. We wiped out an area of mobs for a quest and I saw a soloer staring at us and was wondering if they thought we were farmers.

Yes, it does. Because people buy plat it raises prices on goods which means to compete for buying I have to farm more plat to buy that in-game item I want.

Yep, because RMT promotes and amplifies negative aspects that already exist in MMOs. We don't need more lag, more spam, more competition, or more inequality. Joe Douchebag doesn't need to spend RL money to get game items, but he does because it's even easier than doing it by the rules and he's a lazy sob.

Bots who want to capitalize on Joe Douchebag interrupt my fun, sometimes my quest updates, and usually my peace and quiet just to please Joe Douchebag and get his dough. Fuck Joe Douchebag, and fuck those who think it is okay. It isn't, unless it's done on the Station Exchange servers, where I choose to not play.

Sometimes i wonder if Sony would ever be behind selling plat for extra profits. Think about it...how hard would it be to put a stop of it all together by making some type of software that records who is selling and buying plat. I mean, everything is recorded and tracked if need be in an electronic age.

But of course this is from someone who thinks that the entire Bush Administration are all decendents of corporate demon spawn and doesn't trust anything he hears anymore.

If you mean like, they sell the plat to someone, then they take their money and then ban them? That would be hilarious
