I was in cf until rolex got busted, from there I ended up in nn with meta/sinkhole and at that time nn consisted of the 3 of us. Then came shdwknght and suprnaut later on.

After a successful campaign against tnt (and some subsequent losses) we ended up merging with them. Mostly we merged because they had tcp hijacked one of our bots and we couldn't figure out exactly wtf had happened.

But yeah your recollection of the Core/TNT feud and subsequent merger was about right although it wasn't exactly a merger to 'calm' irc it was a merger because nobody wanted to go to jail. DDoS/mafiaboy's abuse of phifli's/ryann's work opened eyes across the internet and everyone got busted. From there the efnet hacking scene died to what it is today (a joke).
