New breed of farmer - KC speedhackers

Just wanted to throw a heads up about a new breed of farming exploiter that seems to be very common atm. They have retarded asian names, speak mandarin (sent them some lovely phrases i picked up on this site) and are generally lvl 3-5 dirges. They have discovered that speedhacking for yellow shinys in KC is a viable plat farming exploit. They can run so damn fast that the mobs really dont touch em.

I have personally witnessed and reported 3 of them this week with a large number of additional sightings relayed to me (im kinda know as a successful farmer banner and help people write good solid petitions).

So if you wander into KC - watch out for these speedhackers and petition the hell outta them.

Just found someone doing this on CB as well

petitioned /reported but doesn't seem like there's much we can do directly... since they're speedhacking or lag hacking or whatever the fuck they're doing, the mobs don't even touch them unless they screw up... can't train 'em.

God damn it, you're absolutely right. I was staring at this lowbie dirge in QH wondering what his role was. So I read this and look on the broker and he's got Poisoned Succulent Needles and nothing but. These damn plat pharmers behave like fucking criminals through and through.

I dont know if your aware of it or not, but its fairly easy to take a lvl 1 of any class, and straight up walk around KC with impunity, no hacks involved. If you just pay attention to the pathing, you can swim around in the moat, walk the outside edges of the moat, swim in the back door (underwater) and walk all around the inner castle without aggroing anything. In fact its easier to do it with a lvl 1 toon, because if your level 1 and naked, there is no consequence to your death, you just respawn at zone ni and do it again.

When farming my rares out of KC for my main, I took a lvl 2 scout and just walked around, ate 20-30 deaths, and did it again, over and over, until I got my collection quest pieces.

You can also follow a group thats clearing to any of the center staircases, and then just camp your toon out there with no fear of aggro, and farm shinies to your hearts content.

Its not even hard. Just pay attention to pathing and aggro radius, theres like 10 safe spots in the zone where you can sit and farm shinies for free, forever.

Yup thats possible (other than the in the water thing as all the shit in there is see in invis and has those annoying stuns) but these dudes are obviously warping. Low lvls training at 8 billion % runspeed are not doing this the old fashioned way.

Ya i would support that idea. I think LFG brought up that idea in one of the pvp threads and i thought it was brilliant. Would have to actually harvest on my alts poor things, but would be worth it IMO to stop this shit.

They are also using this hack for harvesting in the popular spots and it drives me mad. They are able to Run harvest or at least thats what it looks like. I beat them to the node on my screen but can only get one hit on it. Bastards!!!
