Aye, am in Karnor's atm, and there are 3 level 2-4 dirges warp hacking around the entire zone - hell, the zone is actually lagging out since well over half of the zone is chasing these toons around.

This is basically free money for the plat pharmers, because they can outright cheat without even grinding up a character. And here we are twiddling our thumbs for almost a week now waiting for any official response at all. It almost doesn't pay to have a sense of justice here anymore.

hey, they use fraud credict cards, they don't need to pay SOE anythings. 2 weeks later, the account is banned,no problem. use other fraud credict card and buy a new one.

Fraud credict cards is 0.5-1$ each.

And most important is : fraud credict cards could be used in WOW first,banned then it for EQ2, FFXI,lotro ,etc... almost every MMORPG games.

0.5$ they could hack 100 mmorpg games. And they have millions fraud credict cards. There's no END.

You're right, it perpetuates and we never seem to gain any ground because old policies remain in place. I can't keep making lists of plat pharmers forever.

If my highest level toon was 73 and I didn't want to accrue debt from running around trying to get the shinies, and used my level 3 toon instead, does this mean I am a farmer and should be reported? There's nothing against the rules about doing this and I'm sure many legit people have done this in the past and present.

If you see them warp hacking, report them. But this "solution" is not a solution at all.

Sorry to necro post. But i had an actual problem with my eq2 build on my xp build. Everytime i bring up 2 game instances and stick my dirge on af, and if i don't reboot and bring up a single session my game shows runspeed as 1% but i fly around the screen. Literally. I could clear g fay butcherblock to crushbone in probably 12 seconds. I have since rebuilt with vista and havent tested it, but you might want to check it out.

no we dont. only solution to finally overcome platpharming would be to refuse all credit cards in combination with making game cards available all over the countries the game is supposed to be played (read: evrywhere except asia)

You are incorrect. SOE's new payment upgrade to Verified by Visa processing of cards will eliminate the farming problem related to farmers who are using fraudulent credit cards, or using credit cards then contesting the charges.

If you've never used Verified by Visa, it requires that you enter a pw and verify personal info to authorize the charge. That makes it so you can't claim someone else used your card, and you also can't use someone else's card without permission.

I assume the verification website is hosted by Visa, separate from the Station site? Because if you type the password into an SOE form, there goes any illusion of security.
