That was the days back when you had to be a patron for your guild in order to contribute any status at all, the items where there still, the crafting writs i don't remember being there, though i detest crafting lol.

There were crafting writs in the beginning they were picked up and turned in at the main Crafting Coalition in each city, and in each home village there were two crafting instances one for the artisans and one for the skilled crafters. As you did writs the instance in your home village would gain faction for the crafting coalition that ran the instance and as their favor grew with the city you would be able purchase more and more supplies from the wholesalers with in each instance. That is why pre-LU13 you would have to go to different instances to buy your fuels, etc. There also was an old repeatable harvest quest that you could pick up in each instance, that would require x number of this or that for coin. The old writ system was a real pain because you would pick up a writ go home and get fuels or supplies do the writ and then go back and turn it in. As a provvy I would have to go buy my milk, dough, etc at one instance then go buy my fuel at another instance. They scrapped the writ system before the first major crafting overhaul that did away with the subcombines.

I've levelled my Jeweler to 80 on primarily writs, i'm at over 2 mil personal status, about 250k guild status shows on our roster. If I had done every single lvl as writs only that might've given me another mil (slower lvls I did a lot of firsts). This guy is definately abusing something or other. Over 7 mil is crazy. So ya, he's got a nice bot or something running.

Depends on your definition of alot...

If he's botting crafting writs, and we assume he's botting the difficult writs, and did not do any writs in previous tiers (probably wrong but we'll go "worst" case) then it breaks down like this...

Lvl 80 crafter doing rush orders...
Each writ is 15521 status and 12g 11s 5c
So that's 1552 GSP per writ, so it's just over 4661 writs to get to the amount of contributed status shown in the SS.
That totals out to be just over 561 plat gained via writ.

Lvl 80 crafter doing regular writs...
Each writ is 10487 status and 6g 5s 52c
So that's 1048 GSP per writ (the truncate donated status, not round), so that's just over 6902 writs to get to the GSP in the SS.
That totals out to be over 417 plat gained via writ.

minus cost of raws, tho i guess if you're assuming bot crafting you might as well assume bot harvesting too.

edit: can you get away with bot harvesting t8 on nagafen?
