Interesting what I found by lingering around a joint grind team of multiboxing plat pharmers/sellers.

First, in this picture you'll see that even though the group is standing still without combat, the chat window is continuously filling with combat spam from the two warlocks. If anyone knows which spell produces this emote, please let me know in this thread.



Now as the tank moves, the autofollow'd warlock is moved as well and the external macro program keeps spamming the spell, as you can see by the constant interrupts caused by the motion.



This does not happen with legitimate un-automated gameplay. You better believe I'm petitioning at least this entire grind group. This includes Okag, Boshimao, Moogia, Strangeperson, Olgskyy, and Koolaola.

I notice a lot lately that solid plat pharmer grind groups tend to include a swashbucker. Anyone know why that is?

It seems so far that the spell they were spamming was the level 14 PBAE called Suffocate.

keep in mind i am spec'd on the agility line for the sorcerer tree. but still the cast/recast is fairly quick and does some decent damage for that lvl

I've seen them using scouts alot more lately too. Probably to use tracking so they can watch for nameds as they spawn. I've seen a few of them with dirges and troubs for the added run speed.

Most likely for tracking and in this case, smuggle from the swash. Is a bit odd though, I thought most of them stuck with zerker, fury, wizard, wizard.

they have started using the swash because they farm moa3,warlocks and swashs do amazing AE dps, hell on butcherblock there are 2 6 man crews that are still leveling made up of zerker fury warlock warlock wizard swash. but by the levels it looks like they dropped the gaurd and the swash, 6 levels behind.

Swashy's can actually tank decently if you have a semi-competant healer. They have an AoE attack that holds aggro pretty well and they kill things at a quick enough rate so the downtime isn't that significant. Plus the fact that their masters aren't that hard to come by nor are they nearly as expensive as some of the other scout and tank ones.

Know what gets me? Strangeperson and Boshimao are not just plat pharmers but fucking cheaters (AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE NEARLY 2 MONTH OLD SCREENSHOTS ABOVE) and they're still mighty fucking healthy on our server, with their own stupid faggot fucking <Kill to rise the clan> guild full of asshole plat pharmers. What kind of dumb idiot fuck lets that slide? Would Vanguard ever let them survive this long?

I personally wouldn't use Wizards for that sort of thing. If your mentored or farming, your likely going to benefit moreso from AE destruction then really sweet single shot damage.

The single shot will let you take down a named faster, but it won't help you very much if you want to drop 5 or 10 mobs with little effort or concentration.

Besides, by the time you've engaged the named it's already yours if you've locked it.


As far as solo is concerned, I'm able to solo equal level ^^^ heroic's. So that's not a big deal either.
