Let me just say I encountered a group of botters / plat farmers late last night in PoA while working on A Star to Unlock (hey this character was an alt up until EoF
) with my guildmate Necromancer and Dirge.
Six randomly generated names, the guild name "Happy Everyday" and 1 Warrior leading a team of wizard/warlock/warlock/coercer/fury runs up to my group while we're camping the Advisor in the bottom of the green dragon's tower. I figure they've come to camp or gank the mob when it spawns from us, but to my relief they simply go upstairs to the dragon.
So time goes on, my guildies and I clear placeholders and other crap while waiting, when all of a sudden Palace Adjutant yada yada pops up on my target window, and I think "odd, musta ae'd through the floor" and figure the bots are just having their fun.
Next thing I see is the dragon targeting the Necro's tank pet, still conning to us and I realized that his pet had been in protect himself / protect master mode and had shot up two floors to beat on the dragon because his AE hit the Necro.
Realizing that we we're about to be in a world of trouble when he finished off the Necro's tank pet (was orange before we could react) I pulled out my Tellurian Champion, planeshifted it (/engage Vaz'Gok mode) and went to town on the poor dragon. We quickly finished it off and were rewarded with a Master chest.
The botters come running down (training a couple draogs, killed a couple of the mages lol) and the Warrior looks at the chest, looks at us and starts yelling in Chinese (the Necro speaks Japanese meh).
The botters stand around intending to gank the named I needed when he spawned, so I told him "Go away, GM comming" and they respond "why you take our name? shortly before leaving the zone.
They no longer exist on Kithicor, seems my petition got something done...
Ah that made my night, especially after a night of camping Ironfang and the Advisor.
