Except that the person posting isn't those people in game. They aren't making those posts. It's somebody impersonating them on these forums. You talk to them in game and they're the 'don't even go to the official forums, much less know what eq2flames is' type. (and if you look at the auctions they're disparate - different amounts or different prices, different times, as if somebody just grabbed some random ones to post about to try to look like they had a lot of pp)
