Whenever I set to harvesting with my toons I always notice that certain other toons have a lot of rares to sell; 20+ and they have this many consistently on a weekly basis. (This is concerning Nagafen server).

I usually /friend these toons and try to talk to them when they are online.

I notice several things:

1- 80% of the time they will not respond. I usually /tell "hi" or "hello". I will usually try to make contact once every other day. If they ignore me for a week I try to hunt them down.

2- Their toons are usually around level 72, and even if they are 80 they have terrible gear.

3- They have many days logged in. Often almost as many days as since they rolled their toon. Also some of them roll the toons just recently.


One guy in particular a Q named Jibanng was logged in almost 24/7 and harvesting in all zones of Norrath nonstop. I took to logging my freep and killed him. He did not log back on w/ that toon since that day.

Does anyone know what these guys are really doing and why they choose to ignore tells they get?

Abudaep may be speed hacking in TT, the toon Rafmer and I were chasing him around and he would just appear in other places (Rafmer said so I didn't see it).

So you're that Saxxprah noob that keeps messaging me. I generally ignore your tells because a) you never have anything to say or b) i miss them b/c my tells are on a different tab. I sell rares, that's how I get plat. Whats so wrong with that? Low level rares are stupid easy to come by.

As for gear, I know my isn't great, but I wouldn't say it is terrible. T2, Fabled weapon, some shard jewelery, etc. Thanks for your concern though!

Also, a few friends have my acct. info, so they could be on playing as well.

I cannot personally attest to what these people are doing at the time you send them tells... but I can tell you that you have sent me tells on numerous occasions while I was harvesting and crafting, and yes I have ignored you... primarily because 1) I dont know you 2) You never seem to have anything to say other than "How do you get so many rares?" 3) You are quite annoying.

And for the record... I get my rares just like everyone else... HARVESTING!!!! Duh! If you dont have the patience to sit down and harvest for 3-4 hours at a time... then dont complain that I have more rares than you.

Why was he harvesting over and over again? Full bags or something? BTW oldironsides and ninja = botters. Just because they are English speakers doesn't mean they aren't botting. Convenient excuses for not answering tells. Maybe they need to add some scripting that will say "hi" back to you.

guess all the bots in eq2 jumped ship. ever since t5. they arent as easy to hunt down. now they just buy the plat off guilds and just make toons to spam their website.

On LDL the harvest bots change name and sell location about twice per week, mostly always a dirge selling all the rares from an empty house.

During the time when most scrubs bought their mythical updates the prices on rares was at all time low during rok/tso. Now when all the scrubs have bought their mythicals, rare prices are back up to high prices and there is no sign of the harvest bots. I guess they filled their coffins back up.
