Aye, when I played wow a while ago i would seem them several times a day then all at once they all stoped and you never heard anythign agin from then.

lol ithink the big reason for this is wow can ban people and they could care lss about the population. honestly if you had over 6mil subscriblers what is a few 100 banned every week or so.

In keeping with Blizzard's aggressive stance against cheating in World of Warcraft, we banned over 30,000 accounts in the month of May, and with that removed well over 30 million gold from the economy across all realms. The banned accounts were taking part in activities that violate the game's Terms of Use, including using third-party programs to farm gold and items, which severely impacts the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players.
Can you imagine if SOE banned 30,000 accounts in one month? I imagine SOE has banned maybe 100 in EQ2s whole life span. (Not including forum accounts!)

soe has roughly 750,000 active subscribers according to mmogchart.com

so if they banned 30k accounts that would be roughly 4% of their total playerbase. which, i imagine, is roughly the size of its raiding population.

really puts stuff into perspective
