I would think they are catching on to the people scanning /tells and /reports for urls to find out who to monitor (on SOEs side).. or are anticipating it.. and trying to defeat that... it wouldnt be hard to 1) strip all blanks and 2) convert 0 to o before comparison.. so their efforts are so far not that good at stopping SOE from catching it

It's gotta be the servers you're on. I get a tell maybe once or twice a week from these guys and I get mail even less.

I know in WoW there was an addon that actually stopped the spammers from sending you a tell. Is there something like that for an EQII UI?

EQ2 doesn't have a full scripting language like WoW. At best you get the XML for the UI. To me it's something too easily abused, and I'd hate to see us running around with Hate O'Meters, although there are a ton of potential positives.

but the total solution to this problem, is instead of having ignore lists, have the option to disable tells from everyone except people who you decide can.

i know its going to effect poor lvl 5 joe who wants some advice, but theres always /s or /10-19 etc etc

Heh ... now all the raiding guilds have to compete with bots to sell unwanted gear ... too funny. This really does suck ... I hate the bot crews and am still pissed they fixed the oh so fun /lock trick to kill bots ... damn you SoE for ruining all the fun.

One question for Raz ... what do you mean gratz to MM for losing a contested to bots? What contested did they get? I have been on night shift and had not heard this.

Ah ok ... just curious ... was gonna get pissed at my guildies and fellow raiders. If they are buying stuff off us to reselll ... maybe we need to price it higher ... hehehe

I didn't know they were selling any contested fabled. I don't go near those sites ... not sure if work filters would allow it anyway.
