At any rate, both groups left. I've been sitting around for an hour with no sign. There was another guy up here, but he insisted he was canadian & legit.
Wonder if they "adjusted" auto follow so it only allowed 1 person to be on auto follow on one character at a time if this would screw up these bot groups? You could still have an entire group on auto follow but it would be 1 long train instead of 5 chars auto follow'n on 1 char.
This would make it tougher for one guy to position all 6 characters in a way so all there AoE spells hit together.
And wouldn't effect those that play the game for fun all that much.
Grinding a group of botted characters to 70 is a bit different than crapping out level 1 alts to spam people with. If they got banned on every server as quickly as we spotted them (and it is omg easy to spot them), they would scream in rage. There's no way any company would be able to grind them fast enough. Then when T7 is cleansed, you go to T6 and exterminate the insects even further. Then to T5. And lastly to T4.
yea seriously illum thats not a half bad idea. i remember when i started leveling some of my alts up, i must have got like 500 new bot groups banned in t1-3 in a few weeks time total. and these were full groups. so thats what $75000 in damages too them? just imagine how quickly that would add up if we all went out and did it on a regular basis

Just curious how you came up with 75k in damage. Do the botters have to buy a new copy of the software each time they are banned? Do you think they really do that or do they have cracks?

yea they get banned. forumla i have is this
25 bucks base: 10 for eq2 classic and 15 sub, good for 2 months with free 1 month
15 per month on the toon after that: char age listed in profile on eq2players
if they are farming in expansions im gonna say just add a flat 30-40 bucks (whatever it costs now) unless they are in DoF, since they usually stick within DoF at that point. there are enough sites out there that sell mass keys too KoS/EoF/DoF combo pack that it doesnt really matter too them anymore, if they are smart in any way at all, and want access too t7
add that all up and you get the total damages inflicted. also, check their brokers before reporting. usually they have shinies which directly corelate too where they have been farming, and just add expansion prices per expansion of shinies they have
