All was well in the land of Kithicor. Chaotic legion was killing shit, Grenricks guidance was holding a contest or two. The Fairies were frolicking, and the Kerra were purring quietly.
The news of the spam filter had hit hard, and fast. Within an hour or two people were loving it. Complimenting it.
After a while people started complaining. Realising that simple phrases in chat would cause filter spam to the entire channel. People got over it, and people petitioned..
Then, amongst all the frolicking and licking of Frogloks, an intruder had breached Freeport! He was a mighty opponent. Epic in scale of Difficulty. He was a Level 1 Dark Elf Guardian named Kannio....Within a day of the spam filter being introduced they had figured out a way around it.
I walk to the broker, hand on my shealth, ready to slay the intruder.

He slowly comes out from behind the broker room in East Freeport, a mass of people begins to gather around him in Awe.

Again he speaks a language like the devil....
I pull out my blade and jump out from the Shadows!
I challenge him to many duels to which he declines just as fast!

At this point, he starts to retreat, running back and forth between the gates of south Freeport and North Freeport, back to the broker and back to South Freeport. So I rest at the Broker for a while..

within a few minutes he's back.... But he brought reinforcments!!!!

Yah, it blocks the spam tells, but you get spammed twice as much eventually because of the fuckin filters.

I get just as many goddamn motherfucking plat spams with the filter system as I got before the filter system. WTF SOE? Turn on selective /tell blocking you stupid fucking worthless pieces of shit!

(I'm not happy until I've pointed out how totally fucked up SOE is.)

The absolute ONLY way of truly dealing with this is to enable us as players to ignore/block tells from level ranges. I want to be able to restrict anyone from sending me a tell if they are between levels 1 and 40(just put your own range you want in there) unless I have them on my friends list. I do NOT understand why an implementation of this sort is so difficult. Is there a limitation to the number of people on a friends list? I doubt it. And there are plenty of other avenues for players to meet each other than to give out tells. OOC, shouts, group chat, guild chat, proximity says, etc. When it takes them 2 weeks to get 1 player up high enough level to be able to spam them and they get banned 12 hours later, THEN and only THEN will I be satisfied with the system.
