Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
Since I used to play a necro ...I know this topic all too well....I therefore had no mercy reporting a conjy I once saw doing this over and over in the croc caves in Sinking Sands. If i see summoners exploiting this I show no mercy and do a /report and a /petition.
I really don't want to see the summoner class nerfed by people who exploit by AFK killing to level.
Cheers,
Kess

Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
I do have a question, because it is something that I would need to understand if I need to report (since I am getting close to fighting more in SS and soon KoF)
What exactly does it mean to train someone in EQ2? I know how people did it in EQ, happened all the time in Blackburrow.
I mean, after a while a mob here stops and resets right? Would it happen if the person FD near you? But wouldn't the hate be wiped because of?
Thanks in advance. This is great and I will definatly be using it soon, seeing quite a few on AB.

Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
Roamers are prone to slower resets, but all bets are off anyway if you land a PBAE at the wrong time.

Hm, being a Templar I don't have that. Even with the AAs I picked.
Well thanks for the info. Good to let my guildies know.

Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
Definitely. If you inadvertently agro a bunch of mobs and happen to pull those mobs past a group of "guildies", make sure your "guildies" know that they shouldn't be casting any PBAOE spells during that time where the mobs are in range of them.

Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
I've been thinking, instead of banning plat farmers, maybe soe should just surreptitiously move them all to the test server. Maybe then, it'll take longer for them to get back into action on the live servers. Or better yet, lets move them all to the internal SOE test server. That damned thing is obviously sitting there collecting dust right now.
I would suggest it to sony if I weren't so sure they sanctioned plat farmers.

Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
Great post, good luck getting em banned!!
Innothule way back in the days waged a pretty nasty war against the botters in T5. Eetums, (a few other guildies of his that I can't remember the names of ) and I formed a guild for the bots once. "Oriental Robots For The Win", spammed them with guild invites and actually got some to join. Was funny as heck watching them run around with that tag on.
Here's an old "crappy" video I made of some xping bots I found in Antonica after SOE did a large flush of the original botters.

Re: Guide to Getting Farmers Banned
I know this is pushing necroposting, but since this is a sticky I didn't think anyone would mind.
I just want to thank the OP for this well though out topic (as others already have) and am happy to say that using your tips I got my first kill. A level 15 teleporting in Kunark Jungle; a little suspicious dont' you think. It looks like it's been a few months since you've had a thanks, so it was time again.

Suddenly, test server would have an economy, and the devs would get their lag testing. And of course the UI for the plat pharmers would continue to tell them that they were on the same server they started.
