I think the problem with most influential member is that does it mean person who's actually posted here and been around the entire time, or does it mean a person who was influential at the start, and then disappeared for several months, or is it about the people who show up later and bring with them the retard crowds.

Who knows, I guess it also depends on what it means by Most Influential, most influential for what? EQ2? EQ2Flames? Of course, if it's just EQ2Flames, obviously it's just a straight popularity contest about who could get the most people here. TBH, I don't think this contest will go the way intended and it'll just be a huge mockery of who really was the most influential. Kind of like another one almost did, how the fuck can "Kaalia" come 2nd place in a Most Influential Mage contest? I just don't see how that's even close to possible, just like the people on this will not be voted for what they've done, but how "popular" they are with everybody.

"Most influential" is relative to every individual who votes. One type and style of contributor/member will be more "influential" to one person than another. In the end, majority vote will decide the three winners.

It's somewhat like the legal definition of "reasonable doubt" - in the end, each jury member must decide what that means to them, and decide the case based on that relative meaning.

I'm going to close nominations later tonight, and will put the vote up in the main General Gameplay section at top, since that is the most used section on this site next to Rate-a-Retard.

The vote will be public and will run until Friday, then the winners will be announced.
