In fact, im pretty sure the recipe for thread/traffic success is as simple as "Gaige + (insert a few disso member names here) = >50 pages"

Gaige's success is his ability to argue to the death about anything and everything even if he probably doesn't actually agree with it. I have the same attitude and it inevitably leads to massive discussions. I have the unfortunate tendency to turn arguments extremely personal as a last resort to maintaining thread anarchy - which if I remember correctly is why I got banned

If I could vote for 3 people (and I hope im not dooming myself) it would be Gaige, Pinski and Aeralik, with an honorable mention of Ishbu who if he were still active would surely have made everyones lists.

I know that for myself, I never came here cause of Gaige, his stupid irrational arguments, or the pic of his peen. I didn't come here because of Ishbu, Pinski, Illuminator, Miroh, or any one else. I came here for information, and Niber has created a space now where that information is faster, more efficient, and better constructed than on the official boards. Niber wins by default. LFG, don't let this be some stupid popularity contest...if you want a clear winner detailed out, its Niber.

good for you.. but the undeniable population spikes and growth in this site are over massive drama posts.. the gaige vs. disso thread was the biggest reason this site needed a better host

If I could have nominated SoE people, I would have at least nominated Aeralik, Cat and Julie, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be allowed to accept a prize of LoN cards.

I also have no problem with former players like Ishbu being in the vote, current daily raiding is not a requirement, it's all about what the person has done for this site, in total, during the past year.
