looking at some recent changes and disscussion on changes it was frightening that people can even have an opinion, much less an educated opinion when they dont really understand how our combat system works with itself, loot tables, and gameplay crossing between the casual and the hardcore.

i really think that the quality of the poster overall has been very much dilluted. the spam posts really are starting to get out of control. people have very much deliniated from wanting to take an active part in trying to sumbit feedback for a fundamentally great game with great mechanics to getting hardon over a card game that has absolutely no implication other than detering from teh enjoyment of everquest 2. also people getting a nutjob over being able to look different than what they wear, i mean seriously why do you care, as well as then comlain that tanks will be able to look like they are wearing robes and using candycanes.

do you not see the difference of what people find important between this?

"how can we balance this game?" is now equal to "do u think my butt looks fat in my set pants?"

that and spam is my only beef. as far from LFGs and the moderators standpoint they really only can or should try and control one of those.
But isn't some of what's going on now due to a lack of new stuff coming out? 6 months ago, most folks were still into the new expansion. Things are pretty much played out atm. Things should pick up again come November. I hope anyway. I need the entertainment to keep from being so bored at work.

Would it make you feel better if I bitched about it? She's right.

I'm betting a lot of people actually MISS the old NGDers that used to come here now.

naw prolly not, your posts have taken on a certain overly sanctimonious air that sounds more and more like a old guy on the porch yelling at kids to get off his yard.

Well considering you had just gotten here 6 months ago, I don't guess my statement would apply to you.

How exactly to do you become overly sanctimonious...is any sanctimoniousness a good thing?

Anyway I don't yell, I use a hose.

The widespead attention this site gets now is because of the hardwork and dedication from many knowledgeable players. (Some no longer in game) People came here to openly discuss the game and truly make a difference. (And have some fun busting balls) For me, I came here to get away from the NGD crowd, stupid posts, and the oppressive moderation.

Two things happened.

1. The forum florished, and the SOE Dev team took notice and utilizes this site as a testbed for future changes.
2. You attract the masses. (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)

I chose 6 months ago because I look at the posting that goes on now and most of it is just childish, boorish crap which adds no value to the game or the EQ2 community. If it was contained to particular areas then I could care less but more and more it's spreading throughout.

Maybe it's a changing of the guard, but if I want a NGD forum I can go to the official site or one of a thousand other places on the web.

there have in that time been an incredible amount of changes to this game as well as proposed chages which shift the play of the game very dramaticly in some instances and not so much in others. Look at what we have had to deal with recently just off the top of my head.

Cure changes, DW changes, Spell Consolidation, Raid Wide Fighter Buffs, Revamps to KoS AA lines, Epic Weapons for RoK, BoE changes, Persistent Instances. Theres probably even more.

What drives me mad is that there was more of buzz over LoN than there was over the game you actually play. These changes are huge and affect us in more way than one, but people brush this off for being able to wear the graphic of some t4 boots so they can stand in the harbor. I just dont see how anyone could care about that more than actually trying to figure out how their classes and groups are being fundamentally changed.

The game has literally been smashed into the ground, every nook of the game has been inspected, explored, abused, and taken advantage of. What excatly do you people who vote want on the forums, the same bullshit threads over and over and over and over again? Oh, let's just not post until something new and existing happens, I mean it's EoF, something new is bound to pop up eventually!

You people honestly lack the ability to conform with your environment, this site still has as much information as before, but it's grown and you need to learn to adapt to the bullshit that's going to come with it.

You ungrateful sons of bitches.

PS ~ Half of you idiots voting for 6 months ago haven't contributed ANYTHING of GAMEPLAY value to the website, ignorant fucks.

PPS ~ I think LoN got a lot of spotlight was because it was something entertaining for the majority of the people to play, not just a dressing room~
